Jag has only just shown their 3 series fighter yesterday and already I can't stop imagining what that beautiful package will look like in coupe form. We know an XE coupe will be coming, the only question is when.

That V6 Super charged XE S in coupe form could give the M4 a real contest. I'm excited...

With the all-new XE, Jaguar wants to compete with its German compact rivals on all fronts so it comes as little surprise that XE chief program engineer Nick Miller told CarAdvice wagon and two-door coupe body styles are being considered. He says at first Jaguar will focus on the sedan but chances are in 2015 and/or 2016 additional versions will be added, including the rumored range-topping SVR variant allegedly coming in 2016 with an F-Type V8 S-sourced supercharged V8 5.0-liter with 489 bhp (364 kW).

I never looked at Jaguar but after looking through the bit of information i have already, it looks interesting enough that i might have to test drive one when the time comes.

It might be a credible alternative to BMW, but I don't think we will see the XE outselling the 3-series or anything.

I don't think BMW is going to be dethroned by Jaguar but Audi is staying really close to them in sales. BMW won't be able to stay on top forever and it will likely be a combination of a lot of different brands that will contribute to their decline.

No one is suggesting the XE will lead to Jaguar dethroning BMW, but we're talking about quality alternatives here...

V8 from the F-Type in this would be sweet. How it performs against the F-Type will be interesting, just to see what performance is like between them.
