BMW just showed off thier new for the future 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo, its called the B48 and will replace the N20 shortly.

B48 is an all new engine with a longer stroke and shorter bore than N20. Output targets from BMW are 160-268 hp and 240-360 Nm of torque. Looking at the variance it's safe to assume the B48 engine will proliferate itself through the BMW and Mini lineups shortly...

Not liking the whole engine downsizing thing going on but as long as it sounds great and puts out enough power I think i'll be happy with it.
