BMW reigned as the best selling luxury brand in the US in 2011 and 2012, but last year Mercedes took that crown. This year Mercedes is continuing its strong sales figures. It recorded a 2.6% sales gain in February led by its revamped S-Class sedan and the new CLA.

Meanwhile, BMW showed a 3.3% sales increase in February. This sales increase wasn't enough to narrow the gap between it and Mercedes though. Currently, Mercedes has a 4.943 vehicle lead over BMW, its closest rival.

I'm sure that BMW is hoping that its new X4 will help to boost sales once it comes out later this year.

Does BMW have anything to worry about? Do you think that BMW can take back the crown this year?
