Rumor has it that the US could finally be getting in on the GTS party. The previous hotter M3 (M4) have only ever been domiciled in Europe. The US accounts for 40% of all M sales and it will be BMW's 100th anniversary next year when the car is expected out.

And if that logic doesn't grab you this will:

To add even more fuel to the fire, the internal ordering system of U.S. BMW dealerships now lists a 2016 BMW M4 GTS beginning production in March of next year. No info on pricing and options is offered at the moment.

991 S/GTS money for an M4. I think very, very few will consider paying over $100k for an M3/4. As hardcore track ready as it is, it's still too pricey considering there are better options on the market. BMW will probably just stick to the M3/4 competition package. That's hardcore enough for the 99.9% out there.

I agree, yes, but they're mad for volume and they don't care how few they sell, another tick on the board to keep Audi at bay

Funny how they put camo over it yet we can clearly make out all the body lines, not hard to figure it out.
