BMW ConnectedDrive will be bringing the music streaming service Napster into European BMW’s. Connect to ConnectedDrive with your smart phone and you will be able to control music through the iDrive.

North American consumers will be offered a Rhapsody app that will work in the same way. Rhapsody bought Napster in 2012 to boost European expansion so differences should be minimal.

Its been out for 3 or 4 months already I believe...Anyone with a new BMW have any experience with the Rhapsody app? How does it compare to satellite radio or plain mp3 uploads?

These apps are good since they help sync your music through your smartphone. I think this is one of the best ways to listen to music. Obviously this is a paid app right?

Or it could be just one of those free trial ones where you don't get the full functions. All in all at least Bmw is tryign to reach out to bmw owners with these kinds of apps for entertainment purpose while driving. Sometimes I just get sick of listenting to the same tracks.
