In 2010 world renowned artist Jeff koon and BMW unveiled the BMW M3 GT2 art car.

"Beginning with Alexander Calder's stunning 3.0 CSL in 1975, the 2010 M3 GT1 was example number 17 in a long list of BMW-inspired works created by artists around the world."

This year will be the first time Nort Americans will be able to see the work of art without traveling abroad. The Jeff Koons M3 GT2 will be on display at Art Basel Miami Beach starting on December 5th, 2013.

As for the specs on the art car, the M3 has a 4.0-liter V8 with around 500 horsepower, and a 0-60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds.

This art car is sick, it's what it should be, not like some posers that just have the art car scheme but dont have the performance to back it up. Would love to see it in action.

pretty wild design. will it actually be raced? or just be left to rot in a showroom? cause that is a sweet car under all that color and paint.

Jeff koons is just an artist, if he was a race car driver or someone with some automotive racing history behind him then maybe the chances of this car hitting the track would be good, now, it's not.

It is a wild design but no stranger to the M models in the past. Its something that you would have on the track rather than the streets though.
