Hi All,

Car 4 series M sport - Professional Media Package

Can anyone advise on the following as i have never used BMW media systems.

1) Have BMW brought the usb lead for Iphone 5s yet so i can see my music artwork names etc and use the car controls to change song etc.

2) If so does this work with Spotify too?

3) Why use the cable vs Bluetooth

4) Any accessories, iphone snap in etc that are a must for the car?

5) Can you store itunes music on the internal hard drive?

I cant wait for it to arrive!

1) you can use the official apple USB cable if you've got the enhanced Bluetooth package. Otherwise you'll need the y-cable with an adaptor.
2) Spotify will play but you will have no control through the car and it's sometimes quite temperamental and will stop playing. I'm actually writing an app to use on jail broken devices to hopefully get around this!
3) I don't have the Bluetooth option to compare but I imagine the sound quality will be better through the cable.

And I can't help with your other questions I'm afraid!

I will check what i have ordered! I didn't spec anything specifically for bluetooth so if it doesn't come with the pro media i will opt for the Y cable.

Let me know how you get on with the app.
