Hello and thank you for letting me participate. I've been an Audi consumer (1 A3 and 2 A5) for the last 9 years, but last after some disapointments, in April I decided to change and go for an 420d Gran Coupe. I would love a more powerful engine but in Portugal cars are very expensive...I'm loving my 4 series, so much better than the A5 ?

Welcome to the forum, thank you for joining us.
The A5 is indeed a fine automobile, nice appointments, strong performance.
I'm a little biased but, for my money BMWs are just a little nicer.
In the modern era, cars are becoming more and more isolated from the drivers but BMW still manages to be more engaging than most. They're just more fun to drive.
Your choice of the 4 Gran Coupe is a great way to begin your journey with BMW.
The performance even with the base engine is very rewarding.
Enjoy!

What disappointments have you had with Audi?

Have you at any point considered Mercedes because that's one brand i've been noticing more and more Audi owners to go towards, not often through my experience do I see Audi owners going over to BMW.

Welcome to the forum. Getting the 4 is great for starters. If you consider getting an A5, it would be a good choice too.
Or just keep it in the BMW family and get an M4.

My options are putting me at either getting an M4 and keeping it mostly stock or going to the extreme of a used GT-R with a tuning package from Alpha.
