2017 430i. Took vehicle in a month ago for issue related to ignition coil. Replaced offending coil. Got car back. Has been running fine. 30 days later, similar behavior and assumed related to another engine coil. (They should’ve replaced all at the same time). Now this. How does this happen on a car under 50k miles?!?! Any options other the BMW’s $4k repair?

Ok…so an update… apparently despite the low mileage (or unrelated)…a fuel injector has gone bad and is cause and quote includes replacing a FI’s at $500 a piece. Service Mgr and I agree to only replace the offending FI as none of them should have gone this soon (mileage-wise). Can’t explain gasket issue causing the blowback of oil but age and light miles. Of course a big part of this is hours as the whole FI system (rail?) has got to be pulled to replace just one. Ain’t nothing simple for sure.
