Cleaning the roof is a very specific process and in order not to damage it, you need to use a steam cleaner first. Before choosing a tool, make sure it is reliable and see if it is right for you. Since its a 2022 model year, I am guessing that its a ragtop. Mine is a 2019 and its a hardtop convertible, but I understand BMW do not make the hardtop convertible any more.
In my previous convertible (Honda S2000) the top was made of vinyl, not canvas. The most recommended cleaning product was called Aerospace 303 protectant. It can be used on canvas, vinyl, rubber etc. I loved it, and it kept my top looking brand new for over 10 years. I swore by it, as did other convertible owners with whom I used to cruise.
It is used sparingly, and basically you spray it onto a microfiber towel and then massage it into the convertible top. Dont spray it directly onto the top, as it bubbles up and takes hours to dry. Sometimes it leaves a residue, but as soon as it dries, the residue disappears. It can also be used in the interior - about the only thing I wouldn't use it on is leather.

What about the roof seals? Does anyone have a diagram or video to show what is needed and where?
