Everyone knows its easy to win one world championship, but its another thing entirely to defend one. Defending one for 10 years? My goodness.
However, thats exactly what BMW has gone and done, outselling rivals Mercedes Benz and Audi globally for the 10th straight year.
Deliveries of BMW's proper ended the year up 10% YoY, totalling 1.81 million vehicles in 2014. Growth was led mainly by China and the US.
Second place Audi gained 15% YoY, finishing the year at 1.74 million deliveries. Audi's total shortfall to BMW however shrank 13% over the last year to 70,000 cars, down from 2013's 80,000.
Third place Mercedes shrank the gap to Audi from 114,000 cars in 2013 to 90,000 in 2014.
BMW Group Automobiles finished the year up 7.9% YoY. Rolls Royce saw the most robust growth of the 3 BMW brands, posting growth of 11.9%. MINI was the lone dark spot, shrinking less than 1 percent.
