A team of huge BMW fans did their own little experiment to try to figure out just where the new BMW M4 would redline. The team used the Doppler effect and specialized software to analyze audio tracks of the cars being tested on circuits. The team found that the new BMW M4 may redline at somewhere between 7,700 RPM and 8,300 RPM.

This would make the new M4 the most powerful BMW in production, as the current leader has a 7,200 RPM redline.

Who knows if this experiment is accurate, but we always have hope.

8,300 RPM redline will be crazy, i'd love to hear that coming from an inline 6 engine. Shouldn't be too much longer till we get to hear and see the M4 production model.
