BMW narrowly beat out Mercedes-Benz to sell the most luxury vehicles in the United States for May 2014. BMW saw a 17-percent jump in May sales to 29,602 units while Mercedes posted a 7.7-percent rise to 26,617 deliveries. Most of BMW's gains came from less expensive models and stylish crossovers.
SUV and CUV sales increased 81 percent in the month to 5,723. Mercedes sales were led by a 25-percent jump in deliveries of the E-class sedan and an 83-percent leap in the sales of its S-class.
Not that I base my decision on how many cars BMW is selling compared to others, but its nice to hear that BMW is such a strong brand.
