BMW is debuting a number of new vehicles in Geneva this year. The 4-Series Gran Coupe is a 4-door Coupe version of the 2-door Coupe derived from the 4-door Sedan 3-Series (you get that?)

It is a bit surprising surprising to see this vehicle debut so soon after the 4-Series was launched.

Compared to the classic 3er, the 4 Series Gran Coupe has a lower center of gravity, wider track and a sloping roof line, to keep true to the coupe concept as much as possible. The length and width of the car are actually exactly the same as on the 2-door version while at the back a tailgate showed up, even though rumors claimed that the new car will have a traditional boot.
The 4-Series is dressed in Sapphire Black and it wears a "BMW 435i Gran Coupe" which means its fitted with a 3-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged engine that makes 306 HP and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque and is, incidentally, the top of the range model right now.

Sales should start this summer. Europe will get to choose between 3 diesel alternatives: the 418d, 420d and 420d xDrive variants.
