news broke this morning that BMW is giving Europe a 4 series xi with a 1.8L Turboed 4 banger, the 420d. They already have the 308 hp 435d available in Europe, while we currently have the same 308hp 335d on our shores.

I used to work at BMW when the 335d first showed up and i have to say with TC/SC off you could lay down a strip of rubber from any stop, it was so torquey, quiet and genuinely enjoyable to drive.

Wouldn't you like to hop into a coupe delivering 630 lb-ft of twist? I would...

They are probably still going to offer a 335d.

the market for a diesel coupe is small. Much smaller than a diesel sedan.

Yeah I don't see the deamnd that big for a diesel coupe either. Especially in North america when going for coupes its most likey for the inline 6 turbo set up.

But I would actually go for one if it was offfered. If you ever drove a bmw diesel you would just understand how fast those things are even for a diesel.
