I was told that the 4 series has the same offsets and bolt patterns as the f30 3 series by a bmw salesman but they aren't exactly the most reliable source haha

Pattern is 5-120; offset front:30mm Offset rear:35mm 20" rims, as I recall.. but check it out on tirerack.

The offset front and rear for the 4 is 35mm.. bolt pattern is 5-120..

So the offsets are different.

couldn't he just use 5 mil spacers then? Its the bolt pattern thats the biggie anyways.

Yeah he might as well do that, bolt-on spacers will be best, i will never trust the slip on's, just to be on the safe side.
