That is a good thing to do, but I wonder if the tech's would be able to already figure that out on their own with a computer diagnostic tool because likely they can. But I guess it's always good to give them a heads up.

|Success||To be safe, ensure you let your Service Adviser know once you've had the tune to avoid any possible unfortunate mistakes. Have you considered the difference between the "M-Performance" upgrade versus say Dinan's Stage One?|

The tune doesn't change any of the regular maintenance or repair jobs.

They say on their website that "anybody" can service or work on their tuned cars afterwards so it's probably safe.

Dinan tuning and warranty/work at other dealer?
I am looking at doing a Dinan tune on our 4 Series once it's available.
Do you have to take it to a Dinan dealership to have any warranty work performed, or can any BMW dealership work on the car after it is tuned?
Are there any other specifics I should be aware of when considering a Dinan tune when it comes to support from a non-Dinan location?
We live about 5 hours from a regular dealership and 8.5 hours from a Dinan dealership is why it would be easier to have a regular dealership do the service work after being Dinan tuned.
