Delivery process & suggestions for delivery at the dealer...

So this will be the first new BMW we have purchased and have a few questions on the delivery process from the dealer.

1. How much time did your walk through take with the dealer when it was delivered?

2. What are some of the things that you asked for in the coding of your new car? So far I have requested single handle pull exit, start/stop deactivation, Window roll-up with lock button on remote and climate system memory for last setting. What other suggestions would you have?

3. What was discussed on the functionality of your BMW at the delivery of the car?

4. Any other input or suggestions would be appreciated. We have purchased 4 new VWs in the past, but never a new BMW so this is our first run through.

This is in the U.S. for a 435i xDrive M Sport with all pkg options except the surround camera.

Thanks for the input!

Having the dealer detail and apply a paint protector might be a good idea.

I wouldn't suggest this. Get a third party to do it!

I used to detail and paint vehicles in my former job, so this will be something I will do to make sure it is done right and not by the teenager they hired.

Not saying a teenager isn't capable, just not as detailed as I would be since it is my car.

Good choice. I'd hate to see someone getting ripped off with the overpriced dealership paint protection!

As for your actual question, my handover took about 5 minutes. I was too excited to get in and actually drive it! I've just done the coding as and when I've needed to.
