Keeping the flap out of the back seat belts

This is our 3rd hardtop convertible and we just got around to trying something I read about long ago. To keep the flap out of the back seat belts when the top is down, strap seat belt shoulder pads around them. It works! We put Sheepskin pads on, hubby took the car out, top down, at 120 mph and NO FLAP!

Supposedly, using something with a bumpy or fluffy surface such as sheepskin works best, but we might try a smoother pair with BMW printed on them. :-)

oh cool tip! the smoother the surface the more likely it is to induce lift... Sheepskin is a cool contrast

Here's what I do which seems to reduce the "flap" - Both the front and rear metal seat belt clips are magnetized and when attached to the magnetic "holders", the movement is significantly reduced at least for me. All you have to do is attach the clips to the top of the seats and they will hold in place. Hope this helps, if not having pads which read "BMW" is also pretty cool.
