BMW 428i Wheel and tire protection plan

HI everyone,
I just bought a BMW 428i a few days ago and I also purchased the wheel and tire protection plan. The current tires that I have are 17"x7.5' and I want to get a new set of wheel the size will be 18"x8.5", which means I need to buy a new set of tires in order to fit. If this is the case, do you think these new tires will be still covered under the plan or not?

Thank You!

I'm all but certain they won't be covered. You can always check with your sales associate.

Any idea if it covers theft? I know BMW wheels happen to get stolen quite often especially at dealerships.

I think theft would be an insurance claim. The tire/wheel plan covers damages only. I was talked into taking the plan when I took delivery of the car. The run-flats and light (soft) alloy wheels are apparently very expensive to replace. We here in PA have the worst roads (fact) in the US with potholes as deep as 12". So far after 17 months of ownership, I haven't had any issues....19 months to go!
