My selection, my choice, and my reason.
My previous BMW E46 had all the sport options money could buy, and I used that for maybe 500 of the 75000 miles I owned the car. (Still love's that silver vixen.)
Does it make sense to buy a car with all the sport options that will never see a track in it's lifetime? Or is it just bragging rights? The M sport was not my choice. I actually got to like the front end of the Luxury line. And it has fog lights too! Just a tad too much chrome, but the color I chose kinda hides it a bit. Liquid metallic blue.
(The last 4 cars I had was silver, so I thought it was time for a change.)
I chose the Luxury line mainly because I wanted the Saddle Brown interior. Sport seats would have been nice, but since I am not racing around a track, it really doesn't make a difference. The standard seats gives me adequate support. Trust me, I don't cruise at 45 Mph. In general 99.9% of traffic slow down when we navigate the same corners or curves or bends. The suspension has never, ever left me in a lurch.
True the stock 19 inch 225 front tires does squeal a lot on the edge, bordering on mild understeer, but carefully feeding the power has never let me skip a beat.
The only thing I will change is to upgrade to 245 in the front, and 265 in the rear.
My 435i came with the Bridgestone Potenza's, which I can't complain about.
I may change that to Michelin's depending on my future driving style.
So I digressed, but I like the luxury line front bumper.
