The BMW brass now says that there is appetite for an M7, so much for the long standing narrative no M badges on barges...

Looks like an S63 competitor. Frankly, I'm surprised they waited this long. There's definitely a market for the super-sized super-sedan.

At this point it seems like they just want to level the playing field as much as they can, going where ever mercedes does, but always playing catchup. Always wanted to see an M7 and surprised only now they're a bit closer to that, should have acted on this sooner.

I don't think that BMW would rule out making an M model of any vehicle they have. As long as they believe people will buy it, they will build it.
