Start Stop Button

I dont like the stop/start function. So every time i get in i have to manually press the button to turn it off.

No big deal i agree but can i program it so its default position is off?

Thanks

Not sure you can turn it off but curious as to why you don't like it?

Take apart the panels covering it, find the magic wire that will disable it and cut it!

kidding.

I'm also curious why people don't like it. I understand that it makes the car slightly less responsive but that is a small price to pay for the added efficiency and saving the planet just a little bit at a time IMO.

There should be a way to turn it off permanently if you want to do that though.

Yeah each to their own. I just don't like the very slight delay of getting power back. It works well just personal preference. I didn't buy a BMW to save the planet or be good on MPG. I bought it to drive.

My BMW dealer in UK said this cant be done due to low emissions getting the cheaper road tax.

Oh well no deal breaker. Perhaps i may even get used to it

Do you drive a manual or auto? I've got a manual so if I don't want it to stop I just leave it in gear

Auto.

I think in the US they can programme the car to be as per your last settings but i think due to eco/tax reasons they don't do this.

No big deal just a nice feature i would like.
